Cool, is this something you are still working on or was it just a proof of concept excercise?

Looks nice Smiley

Been discussed here before http://www.gprm.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=4777.0 - it was supposed to come out at the end of 2008, then kept being postponed and now the website www.f1td.co.uk doesn't seem to exist anymore.

DemonHill, in the thread I linked to you said you found it on youtube, now you're developing it?

All I know is that I still have faith in the GPRM team! Smiley

I've followed this game for years and I don't see any point in doubting it will come out. Maybe not tomorrow or the day after, but one day it will. They're closer now than they perhaps have been before, given the competitions and images being released!

I have to agree with Deranged.
I know that the guys have put long and hard hours into GPRM and will release when its ready
Its easy to forget the amount of time it takes to release any game with part time team.
Some game mods take years even with editing tools supplied from the developer.

so keep at it and communicate progress updates to keep us in the loop

Unfortunetly part-time means some weeks, 20hours, some 3 hours, some weeks 0 hours... If only I had a week set aside I could get a lot done, but unfortunetly I/we all have jobs as well!

Indeed, and I think the vast majority of us appreciate that  Smiley

This game is not graphic intensive, they are not developing ground breaking new physics engines or creative tools...get a grip, look around the internet, these are two of my fav games and they were created by tiny teams.

Rollercoater Tycoon:

Programming  Chris Sawyer
Additional Programming   Joe Booth
Additional Programming   Nick Tuckett
Chief Creative Officer   John Sutyak
Design and Programming   Chris Sawyer
Executive Producer   Bill Levay
Graphics   Simon Foster
Sound and Music   Allister Brimble

Capitalism - great business sim that was considered so good it was used as an educational tool:

Original concept Trevor Chan
Design Trevor Chan
Programming Trevor Chan
Graphics Chris Whitehouse
Additional design Fiona Hau
Documentation &
game text
Trevor Chan
Editors Kevin Twa, Chris Peterson, Daniel Hoffman
Manual layout
& editing
Sarah O’Keefe and Alan Pringle of Scriptorium
Publishing Services, Inc.
Speech Don Blair
Producers Trevor Chan, Joe Rutledge
Quality manager David Green
Windows 95
conversion
Eddie Davis
Internal beta-testers Ismini Boinodiris, Shane Brewer, Brian Davis,
Joe Myers, Mike Pearson, Becky Starling,
Skip Stealey, Adam Turner, Ted Wagoner

Two very good games no doubt, I really wish that Trevor would do a new Capitalism, and leave the Hotel stuff alone. I was a questionnaire concept consultant and later a pre-tester on the original Hotel, and in my opinion the Hotel games just aren't that much fun, can't really put my finger on it, but I really lose interest in them after a very short time, unlike Capitalism and Capitalism 2 I could play it until i conquered every last scenario and crushed the competition or bought them up, and I had to own every last stock I ever sold before i was satisfied.  Grin

I just may have to stop working on the game and fire those two up now that you have reminded me.  Undecided  Nah.

What are some of your other favorites as we seem to have the same taste in management games?

In 2 years there has been no news on that, and it looks remarkably like gprm.. Hmm!

Anyway its not like the issues are graphical, they can be old code that wasnt quite written properly, or odd errors in game mechanics. There are various thing, of which its not my responsibility to go into, but its frustrating to see people offering opinions on something they know nothing about!
